The Great War |
When war broke out in August 1914, the majority of military commanders felt that the war would be over by Christmas. The early clashes developed into huge offensives all ending in stalemate.
Battlefield technology and tactics evolved at a spectacular pace with the tank, airplane support and coordinated bombardment becoming commonplace.
As 1918 dawned these new weapons of war spearheaded the offensives, but it was still the soldier’s war to win or lose, where men endured heroically under fire.
The Great War core rulebook contains the following:
- A brief historical overview.
- Western Front 1914 and 1918 British, French and German Battalion level army lists.
- Sample army rosters so you can start collecting and playing quickly.
- Standard and Operational Missions.
- Inspiring photographs of the armies for reference when painting and collecting.
The Great War core rulebook is the first in a series enabling gamers to recreate the conflicts of World War One on the table-top.

Warhammer Historical - Warhammer Medieval Armies |
Warmaster Medieval Armies is a supplement to the Warmaster Ancients rule set for ancient wargames. It includes 30 new armies for the Warmaster Ancients game, a comprehensive section on fighting sieges, and a section of special rules additions for fighting medieval battles.
The rules for sieges are designed for fighting out the concluding stages of a siege on the tabletop using all the engines of war of the day including siege cannons, trebuchet, siege towers and battering rams. Fortifications and counter-works are covered in some depth with rules for siege-craft prior to the battle taking the form of pre-game engineering and construction - including such things as siege towers, defensive hoardings, counter-mines, and so forth. Combat within and around fortresses using mobile siege towers, scaling ladders and battering rams is all described in detail. Suitable rules are provided for fighting from towers and ramparts as well as around gateways and breaches. Outbreaks of plague, tunnelling, relief forces, civic unrest and other elements are covered as randomly determined events. The efforts of spies, saboteurs and other miscreants are similarly provided for with a special treachery chart.

Storm the walls of Rome, lay siege to Jerusalem!
Siege and Conquest is a rules expansion and sourcebook for Warhammer Ancient Battles.
