Staff Pick: Railroad Tiles
Railroad Tiles turns your gaming table into a growing network of roads, rails, cities, cars, trains, and travellers. As a sequel to the Railroad Ink line, it keeps the quick puzzle feel, but shifts the focus to tile placement, drafting, and spatial planning.

Tiles, Meeples and Puzzles
"I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE puzzle games. Railroad Ink has been one of my all time favourite games for years and it got me into roll and write style games. Railroad Tiles builds on that, it keeps the same adorable art but spreads the game out to a full table experience with added complexity and ways to get points.
Over eight rounds, each player will draft tiles and build out their own world. You will be connecting different roads and rails together to spread out your network while also trying to connect marked 'pins' on the tiles of either cars, trains or travelers, as each round you will also get to place a meeple onto one of these pins; the more you have connected of the same type as you play them, the more bonus points you can get. You can also score bonus points at the end of the game for placing tiles in a large rectangle without gaps and for creating sets of three adjacent city tiles.
Obviously, each turn the options of tiles will change and the turn order for who picks first will also change, so you have to be careful not to box yourself in too much or you may not have the best place to play more tiles on future turns. At the end of the game, you'll tally up all your victory points and bonus points and see who wins!
It's such a fun game that's very satisfying as you fit your tiles into place and get the connections you hope for and the adorable artwork is just a delight to have on your shelf. If you like Carcassonne or Beacon Patrol, you'll love this game!" - Jake, daily commuter on the Mind Games Express.
Final thoughts
Railroad Tiles works because each turn feels quick, but every placement matters. Draft with the next round in mind, keep your exits alive, and save space for the pieces that score more. The result is a fast, satisfying puzzle with just enough pressure to make every tile choice interesting.
