On that note, welcome to The Others – our new game of the week!

The Others, another great strategy by game designer Eric M. Lang, is a one-versus-all fantasy horror. The game invites you to take part in deciding the ultimate fate of the World – one of the players takes on the role of one of the Deadly Sins, while the rest are working together as heroes of F.A.I.T.H. (Federal Authority for the Interdiction of Transdimensional Horrors). The team of heroes is divided into different classes, each specialising in a particular aspect of the game. For example, Leaders are great at helping out and directing other members of the team, while Bruisers and Snipers are excellent at melee and ranged attacks, respectively. On the other hand, The Sin has an arsenal of monsters, helpful Acolytes, and the spread of Corruption amongst other mechanics at their disposal.

As the game progresses the “Apocalypse Track” will advance, making the forces of evil stronger and introducing new twists and turns on the heroes’ path. The heroes will die, either consumed by the Sin or in a noble sacrifice. The question is whether the FAITH team will manage to fulfil their final mission in time, or whether the Sins will reign supreme over humanity.
